A motorcyclist was killed by the driver of another vehicle in Portsmouth, Virginia (VA), this month.
According to the Virginian-Pilot, the rider was travelling through the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Des Moines Avenue when another driver suddenly attempted a left-hand turn onto the boulevard. Tragically, the rider of the motorcycle, Daniel W. Gilmore, died from his injuries at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was 24 years old.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Daniel Gilmore. As a father myself, I can only imagine the heartbreak that accompanies the sudden loss of a loved one, especially one at such a young age.
