Accident at Intersection of Holloway Street and Beasley Avenue Results in Injuries | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Multiple people suffered injuries in an accident that occurred near the intersection of Holloway Street and Beasley Avenue in Durham, North Carolina (NC). Reports indicate that the driver of a Ford Ranger pickup truck hit rear-ended another pickup truck causing it to cross the lane and hit a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist suffered the most severe injuries. Stacie Miller, a Durham, NC resident, was on the motorcycle and had to be taken to a hospital with broken arms and legs, according to WRAL.com. 

In addition to Mrs. Miller’s serious injuries, a passenger in the Ford Ranger also had to be taken to a hospital for injuries.

The exact cause of this wreck remains a mystery. Was the driver of the Ranger distracted? Intoxicated? Was there a mechanical issue? We cannot say at this time. Once the incident report is published, we will have a better idea of what happened. We do know that criminal charges are pending, according to the WRAL article.
