Accident in Gold Hill Leads to Multiple Injuries | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

The driver of a four-door Lexus sedan was traveling on Stokes Ferry Road in Gold Hill, North Carolina (NC), when the driver ran off the road and slammed into a tree, according to salisburypost.com.

The driver, along with two passengers, were pinned in the vehicle. It took close to an hour to extract the driver and passengers from the vehicle. All of them had to be airlifted to the hospital.

The reports have not established what exactly caused the driver to veer off the road.

The North Carolina Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

This was a terrible accident that may result in serious, life-altering injuries. The two passengers should consider contacting a North Carolina personal injury attorney to discuss their legal options. They may have grounds to seek restitution for medical expenses, lost wages and any significant decrease in quality of life due to the wreck. Though, it might be awkward to file a claim since the driver may be a friend, but the passengers should also keep in mind that a personal injury claim would be filed against the driver’s insurance policy and not directly against the driver.
