A South Boston, Virginia (VA) resident was enjoying a ride in his Volkswagen Jetta on Virginia 151 when his life came to an abrupt and tragic end. The driver of a Nissan truck suddenly crossed into the northbound lane of 151 and slammed into the victim’s Jetta. The truck overturned and hit a 2003 Nissan Altima as well.
Not only did the accident take a life, but two passengers, a woman and a 3-year-old girl suffered injuries and had to be taken to the hospital.
Our deepest condolences go out to the victim’s friends and family. He was only 48 years old.
Charges are pending against the driver of the truck, according to The News & Advance.com. What caused the truck driver to drift into the opposite lane of traffic remains unknown. Was the driver distracted? Was he under the influence of alcohol or drugs? We will have to wait and see what the accident report reveals.
