Arlington Hit and Run Accident Leads to Three Injuries | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A hit and run accident occurred in Arlington, Virginia (VA) on George Mason Drive. The wreck sent three people to the hospital.

Reports indicate a van hit a sedan which forced the sedan into a pole. Three people who were in the car suffered injuries and were brought to Virginia Hospital Center for treatment.

The van driver reportedly fled the scene after the accident, according to arlnow.com. I get so frustrated reading about hit and run accidents. Not only is a hit and run illegal, but it is inhumane. The at-fault driver is basically leaving the victim, or victims in this case, to fend for themselves and potentially die from blood loss.

A woman fitting the description of the van driver showed up at the scene later in the day. We do not know at this time if the woman as charged. If the woman was the van driver, it is good that she returned to the scene of the crash, but it does not excuse fleeing the scene when the victims could have used her assistance.
