Bedford County Crash Claims Two Teens’ Lives | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

While driving on US 24 at the intersection of Route 616 in Chamblissburg, Virginia, a Mustang carrying four teenagers smashed into a truck, killing the driver and front passenger, and seriously injuring the rear passengers.

The two teens who died were students at Staunton River High School, according to WSET. One teen was taken to the hospital by helicopter, and the other by ambulance.

The Virginia Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

We are saddened to hear of the death of the two teenagers in this tragic case. The families of the deceased and injured should consider speaking with a Virginia personal injury lawyer to discuss legal options,  since they may have grounds to seek restitution against the at-fault driver. Obviously, bringing such a claim may be awkward if the passengers are friends with the driver, but keep in mind that the claim would be filed against the driver’s insurance policy.
