What Happened:
A late model Oldsmobile was driving on State Street in Bristol, Virginia, when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle. He slammed into two parked cars, sending his vehicle airborne before it crashed in front of the Paramount Center for the Performing Arts.
The driver of the Oldsmobile, William Marcella, was killed. A person sitting in a parked van that was struck also was injured.
Marcella’s body is being examined by the medical examiner to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
