Car Slams Head On Into Tractor Trailer in Florida

Comments (0)

A car in Sumter County, Florida crossed the yellow line into the opposite lane and slammed head on into a tractor trailer last Saturday night. The car driver was killed.

The Florida State Highway Patrol stated that the crash occurred south of Webster, FL. The car driver was driving north on FL Highway 471 when his car veered into the other lane and smashed head on into the truck.

The car driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

We do not yet know the exact cause of this accident, but it likely to have something to do with distracted driving. As car and truck accident personal injury lawyers, we often see the carnage resulting from distracted driving. Texting and talking on the phone account for almost 20% of deaths on the road related to distracted driving. Whenever you are driving it is very important to pay strict attention to the road. Do not put on lipstick, grab a drink, change music, text, talk on the phone, or eat while driving.

We often see distracted driving take the lives of both truck and car drivers, including this case that we settled for $3.5 million for a car driver who died when he was rear ended by a big rig.

Please be sure to pay attention to driving when you are behind the wheel, so unnecessary tragedies may be avoided.
