Car Smashes Into School Bus, Killing One | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

A school bus carrying three special needs students was traveling on Hunting Hills Drive in Roanoke County, Virginia, en route to Cave Spring Middle School. That was when a car coming in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed lost control in the curves of the road, and smashed into the front of the bus. The intensity of the crash made a loud bang that was heard more than half a mile away by witnesses, according to WSET.

The terrible crash killed the driver of the car, and her passenger suffered serious injuries. One of the students on the bus suffered minor injuries.

Police stated that excessive speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
