This is an issue near-and-dear to my heart since I was involved in a car accident while pregnant. It is one of the most traumatic experiences any expecting mother can go through. I was fortunate in that my baby was okay after the accident, but my neck and lower back were extremely sore. But since I was so happy that my child was okay, I ignored the tell-tale signs of my car accident injuries until long after the actual incident.
Some women are not as fortunate as I was. Some women suffer serious injuries after the air bag in their vehicle deployed and hit their abdomen. Other women are induced into early labor due to the stress and trauma of the car crash.
The pain and suffering associated with this situation is virtually incalculable. If you are rushed to the hospital, you might stay up at night worrying if your child will make it. Most pregnant women cannot take the medications provided at the hospital, which makes the experience that much more unbearable.
If you have endured this experience, consult with an attorney right away. You are entitled to compensation for pain and suffering, even if your physical injuries are only minor. Given the circumstances surrounding this type of car accident injury, you may feel more at ease speaking with a female attorney. If so, feel free to call 1-800-752-0042 and ask for Emily. If I am on the other line with a client, please leave a message and I will return your call promptly.
