A Cary, North Carolina (NC) motorcyle police officer suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a Dodge pickup truck crashed into him on NC Highway 55 near Morrisville-Carpenter Road in North Carolina. The accident occurred on July 15, 2011, according to WRAL.com.
The 32-year-old officer was on duty and making a traffic stop when the 72-year-old driver of the pickup attempted to make a left-hand turn and drove into the motorcycle’s path. Theofficer was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment of multiple broken bones.
