Charlottesville, VA Man Dies in Crash on I-64 in Albemarle County, VA | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A Charlottesville, Virginia (VA), man was killed on February 19, 2012, in a car accident on I-64 in Albemarle County, VA. The man who lost his life was a backseat passenger in a Chevy Malibu that had been pulled off to the side of the road because it was out  of gas. An SUV ran off the road and slammed into the back of the Malibu.

Four others were injured in the accident, and I hope they all have a full recovery. My deepest sympathy  goes out to the family of the deceased.

According to NBC-TV 29, charges are pending against the driver of the SUV. Although there was some winter weather at the time of the accident, road conditions are not believed to have contributed to the crash.

Those injured may want to contact an experienced Virginia personal injury attorney to discuss filing a claim as a result of this accident. The family of the deceased victim may also wish to contact an experienced Virginia wrongful death attorney to discuss filing a claim. While a monetary settlement could never compensate for losing a loved one, the family is still entitled to receive compensation.
