Chesapeake Virginia (VA) Dentist Leaves Bad Taste in Client’s Mouth

Comments (0)

What Happened

After a year-long infection in his mouth a former patient has filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against dentist Derrick Broadaway of Chesapeake, Virginia (VA). During the summer of 2011 the patient went in for a routine filling, but something went wrong during the procedure. He states that Dr. Broadaway said “Oops!” According to the patient he asked Broadaway what had happened and was told “I drilled too far down and I fractured your tooth, so I’m going to have to do a root canal now.”

The patient has x-rays of his teeth after the botched procedure and says, “Dr Broadaway left part of my tooth in there that he was supposed to be taken out. And he also left in some of the root canal material that shouldn't have been in there and that why I continue to have these infections.”
