Construction Worker Injured in Industrial Accident near Langley Air Force Base

injury lawyer, construction, industrial accident, accidentsA construction worker, who is just 35 years old, was going about his day when a conveyor belt suddenly struck him causing serious injury, according to WAVY.com. He was working at a construction site outside Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia (VA) on 2972 N. Armistead Ave.

As an injury lawyer who works for a firm that's represented people seriously hurt in construction and industrial accidents, I understand the dangers associated with certain work environments. Construction sites are, unfortunately, a hotbed of industrial accidents.

One out of every 10 construction workers will suffer an injury this year. In 2003 there were 155,420 construction related accidents, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Most injury cases cause construction personnel to miss over 31 days of work.

Fortunately, the construction worker was aided by a fellow co-worker and is being treated at the Riverside Regional Medical Center. I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery.

Working at a construction site is one of the most dangerous occupations. Although every construction worker is trained in basic safety precautions for handling dangerous materials, proper machine operation, and fundamental hazard recognition, accidents still occur. Each year, hundreds of thousands of workers are killed or injured in construction site accidents. Fortunately there are many legal professionals who will stand up for you and fight to see you justly compensated for your pain and suffering. It takes a special breed of attorney to understand not only the complicated legal processes surrounding construction site injuries, but also the compassion and dedication needed to provide guidance through these difficult times.

Thanks for informing about the incident.I think that the workers should be educated regarding construction. How to aviod the accidents on construction sites.I think government should arrange training programs for construction workers
