Couple on Motorcycle Killed in Accident on N.C. 87 | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A husband and wife – Michael Turner and Sharon Turner (named in thetimesnews.com) – were traveling down N.C. 87 in Ossipee, North Carolina (NC) when their lives came to an abrupt and tragic end. The motorcycle they were on was hit by a pickup truck.

The pickup truck driver was reportedly travelling behind the couple and claims that they did not see the motor bike until the couple put their blinker on to turn. Unfortunately, because the pickup truck was traveling too fast, he couldn’t avoid colliding with the motorcycle.

Mr. and Mrs. Turner were ejected from the motorcycle when they were hit from behind, and both died at the scene of the wreck. The pickup truck driver didn’t suffer any injuries.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the Turner family. Losing someone you care about, let along two people simultaneously, if an awful, gut-wrenching experience. And the pain is made even worse when the loss is sudden and unexpected.

The at-fault pickup truck driver has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
