Crash on Lynnhaven Parkway Results in Serious Injuries | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

A man driving a Chevrolet van crossed over the median of Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach and into the opposite lane where he hit a 1992 Lexus and a 1999 Nissan before the van overturned.

The driver of the Nissan – the only passenger in the car – was sent to the hospital where it was determined they had serious injuries. Three people in the Lexus suffered injuries as well.

Police have determined alcohol to be a factor in the accident, according to the Pilot Online.

The Virginia Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

The injured victims in the Lexus and Nissan should contact a Virginia Beach personal injury lawyer to discuss the wreck and the legal options they may have against the at-fault driver’s insurance policy, if they had one. Unfortunately, Virginia has an odd policy which allows drivers to be on the road without actually purchasing insurance. This can lead to innocent victims being left in the lurch after a serious accident. This is why it is important to talk to an attorney so a thorough investigation is conducted to determine the avenues, if any, are available to make sure the damages that the innocent victims suffered are compensated.
