An avid cyclist in Virginia Beach was struck by a car, leaving him with a collapsed lung, lacerated spleen, broken collar bone and knee cap, and a fractured ankle. He currently is on a ventilator.
Police reported that the car struck the 35 year-old biker in the 1800 block of Laskin Road in Virginia Beach. The crash happened at night, but the biker was wearing bright lights.
The biker will need many months of recovery, and will be out of work. A GoFundMe page was set up for him to help with medical bills.
