Driver Charged in Fatal Lynchburg Car Crash | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A woman who chose to drink and drive was arrested on a charge of DUI and involuntary manslaughter after she crashed into two vehicles and two people died as a result of the accident.

According to WSET, the accident occurred on Timberlake Road in Lynchburg, Virginia (VA). The drunk driver was speeding when she slammed into the right side of a vehicle, killing the two occupants who were both wearing seat belts. The two victims, John Hawkins and Garry Moore, were only 26 years old.
The drunk driver then struck another vehicle that was making a left hand turn.

Police are still investigating the accident and in the meantime the driver is being held without bond in Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

I hate reading about these types of tragic car wrecks. Two innocent lives have been taken as the result of the reckless actions of one irresponsible individual.

The families of the two victims should consider contacting a wrongful death lawyer in Virginia to learn about their legal options. To learn about the wrongful death claim process, take a moment to read this consumer guide which was written by an experienced wrongful death attorney.
