Comments (0)

The Hanover County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office has charged a driver in a terrible crash that killed a Caroline, VA father and injured his two children.

Four cars were involved in the terrible wreck that happened in Caroline off of Washington Highway near Lewiston Road on Aug. 12.

The victim, a 41 year old man, died at a local hospital after he was thrown from his car in the wreck. His two children, 6 and 11, also went to the hospital but will survive.

The other driver, a 63 year-old man, has been charged with reckless driving. The wreck is still being investigated.

As we have seen so many times before, reckless driving often leads to deadly tragedies. Driving too fast for conditions, ignoring traffic signals and stop signs, or passing in a no –pass zone can lead to terrible consequences. All of us should remember to obey all traffic rules at all times, and never use ‘I’m in a hurry’ as an excuse to break the law. Safe driving is paramount at all times.
