The Virginia Personal Injury Attorneys’ Perspective

No driver ever has a valid excuse for leaving the scene of an accident he or she caused. The responsibility to stay, offer assistance and speak with police or emergency responders is even greater when the crash leaves another person severely injured.

As Virginia personal injury lawyers, we know that finding hit-and-run drivers, then holding them accountable for the harm they caused, is difficult. We also know it is not impossible. Recently, an attorney with our Virginia Beach-based law firm used vehicle registration records to track down a man who had collided head-on with our clients then run off. We were able to obtain a a large six-figure insurance settlement for the injured parties.
