A man in Virginia Beach, VA suffered injuries when the disabled vehicle he was pushing was hit by another vehicle. While he was not struck by the second car, he injured himself when he hit the ground. Media reports indicated that he suffered leg injuries.
Virginia Personal Injury Lawyer Perspective:
In Virginia their is a "Move Over/Slow Down Law" that applies to emergency personal vehicles when they aer stopped on the side of the road. But it makes sense for all drivers to move over a lane anytime they see a disabled vehicle even if it is not a first responder. This victim or anyone else who is injured by another driver while on the side of the road should speak to a personal injury attorney. They may be eligible to receive financial restitution from the other driver.
