In his latest post to our firm’s Newport News, VA Car & Truck Accident Injury Lawyers blog site, my colleague John C. reports on the ongoing search for a man who is presumed drowned following an accident on the James River between Smithfield and Newport News, Virginia (VA). The exact cause of the swamping, in which another boater died and eight others suffered injuries requiring hospital treatment, has not been determined. Investigators suspect overcrowding on the small craft created unsafe conditions, however.
