Norfolk, VA Personal Injury Attorney Reports: Drunk Driver Kills Two People in Albemarle County

There is no excuse to get behind the wheel after drinking. Unfortunately, this happens all the time and the consequences can be devastating. Take, for example, the accident that occurred on Half Mile Branch Road in Albemarle County, Virginia (VA).

 Three people were in the car when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree. The car caught on fire and the two passengers died. Police have charged the 36-year-old driver with driving under the influence. Other charges that may be filed against the driver include manslaughter. "Speed definitely was a factor. It appears the vehicle came around a curve, ran off the road and impacted a tree and became fully engulfed in flames," Sergeant Darrell Byers of the Albemarle County Police Department told nbc29.com.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the victims' families. Losing a loved one is one of the most heartbreaking experiences anyone has to suffer through, but the pain is made even worse when the loss is sudden and caused by the reckless of another person.
