My colleague Rick Shapiro took the opportunity in his latest post to the Virginia Beach Injuryboard to recognize the efforts of local prosecutor Charisse Black. As a member of the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney office, Black has aggressively and successfully prosecuted individuals charged with driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Her hard work earned her one of 15 Mothers Against Drunk Driving President’s Criminal Justice Awards for 2009. Rick joins MADD and Black’s office in thanking her for using the power of the law to keep the roads of the resort city safe.
