DWI Driver Who Caused Pamlico, NC Fatal Wreck Also Charged With Injuring Passengers | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

The man responsible for an accident on Creek Point Road in Pamlico County, North Carolina (NC), that claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman is facing multiple felony charges, inclding driving while intoxicated/DWI, aggravated death by vehicle and two counts of aggravated serious injury by vehicle.

According to the Sun Journal, the injury charges were filed because two other passengers in the at-fault driver’s Jeep that were injured in the crash that occurred whil the man was speeding down a dirt road.

A breath test performed following the accidet revealed that the driver’s blood alcohol content was .13, well over the limit of .08. The district attorney handling this case was quoted by the newpaper as saying that he was working with authorities conducting the investigation to proceed with criminal prosecution to get justice for the deceased and the injured victims.
