In his latest post to our firm’s Newport News, VA Car & Truck Accident Injury Lawyers blog, my colleague John C. writes about a fatal car accident on Virginia’s Colonial Parkway that left a woman dead and her husband of nearly 60 years with serious injuries. The crash began when wind blew a tree down on top of the couple’s car. John notes that tree owners – in this case, the National Park Service – can be held liable for such deaths and injuries when evidence shows the owners failed to cut down a tree that posed a danger to people or property.
