Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident in Portsmouth, Virginia (VA) | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Most people who have never been in an accident feel safe in their cars. Car insurance companies try to assure us that an accident is no big deal by showing us cute commercials, but that is far from the truth. Just yesterday afternoon in Portsmouth, Virginia (VA), there was a fatal accident in the 4613 block of High Street West, just east of Cedar Lane in the Churchland area of the city, reported WAVY News 10.

There isn’t a lot of information about the wreck yet but we do know that three cars were involved in the crash and at least one fatality has been reported. As a Virginia Beach personal injury attorney I have written many articles about multi-vehicle accidents. The problem with these types of accidents is trying to prove what exactly happened to cause the accident as there are often varying accounts. Also, when multiple cars, people and insurance companies are involved these types of accidents get trickier to resolve.

Lastly and most importantly many times multi-vehicle accidents can be fatal, just like this one. Our thoughts go out to the family of the deceased.  I’m sure they thought today was just an ordinary Tuesday, now it is a day they will remember forever.
