The North Carolina Personal Injury Lawyers’ Perspective

The unnecessary loss of life brought on by this accident is heartbreaking. Street racing is regrettably an all too common occurrence among young drivers. Younger drivers don’t see the inherent risk, or countless variables that can cause an accident. It only takes a split second for something to go wrong but the results can last a lifetime. When coping with a wrongful death you are not only subjected to emotional loss but monetary losses as well. Monetary losses can include funeral expenses, medical costs, the loss of income, the loss of companionship and care. Filing a wrongful death claim with a North Carolina (NC) wrongful death attorney can help alleviate many of the burdens brought on by a loved ones death. A wrongful death claim is a civil lawsuit that allows a family to pursue compensation from an at-fault driver for their loss. However, not every death can be considered a wrongful death. A wrongful death is when another person’s negligence or wrongdoing resulted in the death of someone else.
