North Carolina police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who caused a multi-vehicle accident in Durham, NC. A 2012 black Ford Edge has heading north on Driver Street when it ran a red light, striking a Suzuki traveling east on Angier Avenue. The crash between the two vehicles caused a collision with a Cadillac traveling west on Angier Avenue. The Cadillac crashed into a building at the corner of the intersection.
Authorities report that the driver of the Edge fled the accident on foot. His SUV, a rental car, had license plates from New Jersey. Police say they are on the look out for a black man in his early 20s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches, weighing 145 to 160 pounds and wearing his hair in dreadlocks.
The drivers of the two other cars involved in the accident were hospitalized with critical injuries. We wish them a speedy, full recovery.
