Hit-and-Run Accident in North Carolina (NC) Still Causing Repercussions | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

The driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident which left a small North Carolina (NC) child with serious head injuries and internal injuries failed to show up for his court date concerning this accident. The judge presiding over that case has issued an indictment for the hit-and-run charge as well as other related charges.

In the meantime, one of two children involved in the accident remains in NC undergoing rehabilitation for his severe head injury. Immediately after the accident, he was unable to move certain parts of his body. He also suffered internal injuries.

The full effects of a head injury may not come to light for weeks, or even months after this terrible accident. There’s a risk the child may be permanently affected by the injury.

Another child in the car also suffered injuries. They were deemed not as serious and he has since been released from the hospital. We are thankful for that news and hope both boys make a full recovery.
