One person died and three people were hurt earlier this month in a three car wreck in Durham, North Carolina (NC). The wreck happened on Fayetteville Road in Durham.
State police stated that the wreck happened on a Friday evening, and the suspected drunk driver rear ended another vehicle. The impact caused the car in front to slam into an oncoming vehicle, killing the driver of the second car.
The first driver was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.
Our personal injury law firm goes aggressively after convicted drunk drivers who injure or kill people. We had a recent case where our client was leaving the gym after a workout when a drunk driver drove onto the sidewalk and hit him, causing severe injuries to his left leg. The driver was extremely drunk – more than two times over the legal limit.
Our client had to have four operations on his lower leg. We eventually were able to get the driver’s insurance company to pay our client $100,000 for his injuries.
If you ever are hurt in a crash caused by a suspected drunk driver, be sure to file a personal injury lawsuit against him or her, regardless of the outcome of the criminal case. Drunk drivers need to be punished for the harm they do to innocent people.
We send our deep condolences to the family of the man who died in this possible DUI crash.
