McLean Woman Killed in Kirby Road Accident | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

An elderly woman in McLean, Virginia (VA) was preparing to take her car to a service station and she planned to have a friend follow her to the service station, according to McLean Patch. The woman then walked between the two cars, which were located on Kirby Road, when  a 2002 Camry was put into drive and started to roll. The car was unable to be stopped before hitting and killing the woman.

The Virginia Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

The family of the victim should consider contacting a Virginia wrongful death lawyer to discuss their legal options. It has not been revealed what exactly caused the Camry driver to suddenly put the car and gear and hit the woman. If it turns out the driver was negligent, there may be grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim.
