My colleague Emily Mapp Brannon is alerting parents of another federal recall of drop side cribs in her latest post to the Norfolk Injuryboard. The recall of more than 500,000 Generation 2 Worldwide and ChildESIGNS cribs comes after three infants lost their lives and at least 20 more became injured. It also comes five years after the company that made the potentially harmful and defective products went out of business. While welcoming the recall, Emily also says it may have come too late to protect the most vulnerable members of society.
