Motorcyclists Injured When Tractor-trailer Veers Into Their Lane | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Two motorcyclists were injured when a tractor-trailer veered into their lane while they were riding on I-64 in New Kent County, Virginia (VA). One motorcycle rider ran off the road to avoid being hit by the truck and was thrown from his motorcycle. The second motorcyclist ran off the road when the first motorcycle came back into the road and was struck by the tractor-trailer.

The driver of the first motorcycle had serious injuries and was flown from to the hospital, while the second motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was charged with failure to properly maintain his lane of travel.
