North Carolina Family Suspects Loved One Was Abused at Greensboro Nursing Home | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Of all the health issues associated with aging, head injuries should not be included. Sadly, bruising and a bump alerted one North Carolina woman to the possible abuse of her 86-year-old mother at the nursing home where she resides. Police are currently investigating the alleged abuse at Maple Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro, North Carolina (NC).
Because the injured woman has dementia, she had been entrusted to the staff of Maple Grove for around-the-clock care. Now, the elderly woman’s family believes someone at the long-term car facility punched her in the head and face.
Maple Grove has offered the woman a place in another facility, but because her doctor can only come to Maple Grove, moving to a new facility isn’t an option. Until a solution has been found, the woman’s daughter has been staying by her side.

Our thoughts go out to her and her family in this most trying time.
