The North Carolina Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

Car crashes can be very emotional, especially when someone involved loses his life. It is tragic that the at-fault driver did not survive, but that does not mean the other injured people should not seek compensation for their injuries and suffering. Being injured in a car crash can cause a serious financial strain on you and your family due to medical bills and lost income, and car insurance is designed to cover these costs when injuries occur. Filing a claim is not a personal attack on the deceased or his family; it is simply a way to protect yourself and your family financially while you heal.
