Onslow County, NC Car Wreck Results in Death of 19-Year-Old Passenger | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A 19-year-old graduate of Richlands High School has died due to the injuries he suffered in a major car wreck in Onslow County, North Carolina (NC). The horrific car wreck sent four students to the hospital, according to wnct.com.

The driver of the car carrying the teenagers reportedly pulled out in front of a box truck off of Holly Shelter Road. The killed teen victim was one of the passengers. After the car crash, he was airlifted to New Hanover Regional Medical Center and underwent numerous heart surgeries before he succumb to his injuries.

Charges have not been filed against the driver, but the investigation into the car-truck accident continues.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the victim’s family. Losing a child in a sudden, unexpected accident is an experience no parent should have to endure, but far too many have the grapple with such pain on a daily basis.
