One Passenger Dead and Another Seriously Injured in Virginia Beach, VA Car Crash

A 19-year-old died, and a 21-year-old suffered serious injuries, in an SUV crash in the Pungo section of Virginia Beach, VA around 1:10 am on October 1, 2011. According to the Virginian-Pilot, law enforcement arrived in the 3700 block of West Neck Road and found a 2000 Nissan Xterra in a ditch. The vehicle had run off the road and crashed into some trees.

The driver, also age 19, of the 2200 block of Rayburn Lane, was taken to a hospital with injuries. He was charged with voluntary manslaughter, driving under the influence, illegal possession of alcohol, and possession of an identification belonging to another person.
