A passenger was killed after a driver ran a car wreck in Burlington, NC.

Four people landed in the hospital
after a car ran a stop sign in Burlington, NC. One passenger, Clyde Donald Sipe, 77, of Mebane, NC was killed in the wreck. Officers are still investing exactly what happened to cause the crash. It happened around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of W. Front Street and Tarpley Street. A Chrysler van was struck by a car at the intersection when the car failed to yield to a stop sign. All four people involved in the crash were sent to the local hospital, with Mr. Sipe succumbing to the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Our thoughts go out to Mr. Sipe’s family at what is surely a difficult time. As a passenger, he would have had no way to avoid the wreck. Too often, passengers are injured or killed because of the carelessness of the person behind the wheel. Whether the driver was inattentive, distracted, or rushing, there is never an excuse to run a stop sign. Now, a life has been lost because of that mistake.

If you or a loved one had been injured in an accident, consult with an attorney as soon as possible. A NC injury attorney can help fight for you in the court room. If you were a passenger and had nothing to do with the cause of the crash, then you have all the more reason to call. You deserve justice for the pain caused by someone else’s mistake.
