Passenger Killed in Roanoke Car-Bus Accident | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

A car slammed into a school bus in Roanoke, Virginia (VA) after the driver reportedly lost control of the car and crashed into the front of the bus. Unfortunately, a passenger in the car was killed.  The victim was a 42-year-old Wirtz native named Christopher Garrett.

The bus driver and three special education students that were on board the bus escaped injury, according to wnct.com.

The Virginia Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

The Garrett family should consider speaking with a Virginia wrongful death lawyer to discuss their legal options. We do not know what caused the driver to suddenly lost control and crash into the bus, but if it was due to negligence on the part of the driver, then the Garrett family may have grounds to seek damages against the driver’s insurance policy.
