In his latest post to the VA-NC Medical Surgery Malpractice Blog, my colleague John C. notes that President Barack Obama remains opposed to the idea of caps on the amount victims can be awarded by juries in medical malpractice cases. Our firm has repeatedly said caps such as the one in place in Virginia (VA) since the 1970s are arbitrary and unfair.
