Safer Bats Mandated for High School Baseball in Virginia (VA) | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In his latest post to our firm’s Virginia Beach Injuryboard, my colleague John C. applauds Virginia (VA) high school sports officials for banning high-performance aluminum bats from baseball diamonds across the state. The move to take bats labeled BESR out of players’ hands and replace them with more-woodlike BBCOR-certified bats was prompted by desires to protect young athletes and coaches from head and brain injuries.
