Safer Bats Mandated for High School Baseball in Virginia (VA)

In his latest post to our firm's Virginia Beach Injuryboard, my colleague John C. applauds Virginia (VA) high school sports officials for banning high-performance aluminum bats from baseball diamonds across the state. The move to take bats labeled BESR out of players' hands and replace them with more-woodlike BBCOR-certified bats was prompted by desires to protect young athletes and coaches from head and brain injuries.
