Salisbury, NC Couple Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A crash at the intersection of Airport Road and Village Creek Way in Rowan County, North Carolina (NC), has sparked a police search for a hit-and-run driver.

A car reportedly ran off the road and overcorrected, bringing the car sideways onto the road before it hit a passing motorcycle. Mark Jones, driving the motorcycle, died at the scene. His wife, Sue Jones, succumbed to her injuries in a local hospital.

The North Carolina Wrongful Death Attorneys’ Perspective

The deceased victims’ family should contact a wrongful death attorney in North Carolina to discuss their legal options. Even if the hit-and-run driver is never apprehended, your car insurance company must pay up to the total uninsured motorist insurance coverage the policy provides. Even if the hit-and-run driver doesn’t have car insurance, most state laws require this special coverage attached to every car owner’s insurance policy.
