In his latest post to our firm’s Norfolk Injuryboard, my colleague Jim Lewis both welcomes and calls overdue a nationwide effort to reduce and eliminate injuries to and infections among hospital patients. Jim notes that Norfolk, Virginia-based Sentara Healthcare has been identified as a leader in the Partnership for Patients but also explains that all doctors, nurses and other people involved in caring for patients must do more to prevent medical mistakes.
