Shorter Hours of Service Rules Set for Commercial Truck Drivers | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In his latest post to our firm’s Virginia Trucking Accident/Injury Blog, my personal injury attorney colleague John C. welcomes the news that new federal rules will shorten the number of hours semi, tractor-trailer and interstate big rig drivers can spend behind the wheel each day. John notes that driver fatigue plays a role in many crashes involving large commercial trucks and that evidence shows more rest for drivers results in fewer injuries and deaths on U.S. highways.
