Sightlines Along Railroad Crossings Must Be Cleared | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In his latest post to our firm’s Railroad Injury/FELA Lawyers Blog, my colleague Rick Shapiro welcomes the publication of a model Adequate Sight Distance at Passive Highway-Rail Grade Crossings Act. The Federal Railroad Administration worked with state officials to draft the legislation for improving safety at primarily rural track-road intersections that lack gates or warning lights to alert drivers and pedestrians to oncoming trains.
