Single-Engine Plane Crash in Warrenton, VA Investigated

"When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

As a pilot as well as a Virginia personal injury attorney, I know that Leonardo da Vinci quote has a ring of truth. For a pilot and a passenger taking an August 8, 2011, flight, however, their skyward journey ended in tragedy in
Warrenton, Virginia (VA). Their single-engine, fixed-wing plane crashed and burst into flames, killing both people. The victims wer not immediately identified.

It is a tragedy to lose a fellow aviator, and I know their families will want answers about what caused this crash.
The National Safety Board reports that more than 50 small aircraft crashes in occurred in July of 2011.

As an
experienced aircraft accident injury attorney in Virginia, I know that many times when these crashes occur they are not the fault of the pilot. Some things that can cause a small aircraft to crash are defective aircraft parts; the crashes are very much like when a car crashes because of a defective part.

If you or a loved one has been injured in an aircraft crash, I recommend hiring a lawyer who understands aviation law. Personal injury claims stemming from plane wrecks are subject to a wide range of laws, treaties and regulations, and it takes dedicated, experienced lawyer to successfully handle an aviation case.
