State Trooper Hit by Car on I-64 While Trying to Get to an Accident

According to an article in the Virginian Pilot, a state trooper was taken to the hospital after her motorcycle collided with a car driven by a Hampton University student who said she was late for a test. “Trooper Becky Curl was riding a motorcycle on I-64 near Settlers Landing Road, and was on her way to a crash at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel,” said Sgt. Michelle Cotton, state police spokeswoman. Curl had the lights and sirens on her motorcycle on.
