Sterling, VA Car Wreck Leads to Multiple Injuries | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Two cars, an Accord and Audi, were reportedly racing down Potomac View Road between South Cottage Street and River Meadows Drive in Sterling, Virginia (VA) when a serious wreck occurred. The Audi drifted into the Accord’s lane causing the driver of the Accord to swerve, lose control and rollover onto its roof, according to wusa9.com.

The two drivers were students at Dominion High School. The student driving the occurred suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated at Fairfax Hospital.

Two teenagers racing down a street is bad, but it’s even worse in this case because there were passengers involved. Three other high school students were riding in the Accord and suffered injuries in this crash.

It is so frustrating to read about these street racing car accidents since they are preventable. Both drivers could have, and should have, realized that street racing is one of the most reckless and irresponsible things a driver can attempt to do.

The families of the passengers involved in this wreck should consult with an attorney and consider filing a personal injury claim against one, or both, of the at-fault drivers.
