Tractor Trailer Crash Kills Two Men in Kentucky

Comments (0)

A tractor trailer smashed into a small car in Pulaski County, Kentucky on Christmas Day, killing the driver and passenger.

The county coroner told the media that the big rig slammed into the passenger side of the car at the intersection of KY 914 and KY 80. Both men suffered blunt force trauma and died at the scene.  The accident is still under investigation.

One of the most common questions we receive as personal injury attorneys for truck crash victims is – how long does it take to resolve a truck accident case? In a case where serious injury or death occurs, such as the above tragedy, it can take a few months or even a year or longer.

We find that due to the extensive damages involved in a serious truck crash, trucking company lawyers usually engage in a vigorous defense that takes time. However, our personal injury legal team will work as long as it takes to obtain justice for our clients.

One of our complex truck crash cases in Virginia in 2010 led to a confidential settlement, after our client, a professional truck driver himself, was killed by another big rig when he had exited his vehicle on I-81 after a traffic accident. We were able to have expert witnesses reconstruct the complicated accident, and obtained fair compensation for our client’s family, including funds for the loss of emotional support for the victim’s son.
